Meet the Team

Jared Horowitz | Co-Managing Partner

Ben Shapiro | Co-Managing Partner

  • Ben Shapiro is Co-Founder of Pivot Real Estate Partners (“PIVOT”), a boutique investment and advisory firm delivering differentiated value across the office, industrial, and retail sectors in the U.S.

Prior to founding PIVOT in 2020, Ben was nationally recognized as one of the top commercial real estate brokers in the US, leasing more than 10 million square feet, representing marquee clients across the technology, financial services, and retail sectors. At Newmark, where he was consistently one of the firm’s top producers, he founded the Technology & Innovation Practice Group and earned industry recognition including the Commercial Observer Breakout Broker Award and REBNY’s Most Ingenious Deal of the Year.

Together with partner Jared Horowitz, Ben launched PIVOT with a proprietary, data-driven investment thesis that leverages deep tenant-market knowledge to identify and capitalize on supply-demand imbalances. This approach allows PIVOT to craft tailored investment strategies and deliver long-term value for its partners and clients.

Beyond his professional achievements, he serves on the Boards of The First Tee of Metropolitan New York and the Stephen Gaynor School, and is the founder of The Billy Mac Fund, a scholarship program supporting at-need college students in the Tri-State Area. He resides on the Upper East Side with his wife and three children.
